Yesallaw Just Do It at Paddlepaws

Catalog No: 1
Rating: 1st
Class: Baby Puppy Dog 3 to 6 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Anwartschaft: Baby-BOB
Written critics: When this baby entered the ring he took my breath away. I watched him and thought to myself if this is the quality in baby puppy he is setting a high benchmark. At just under six months this black impressed me no end. He is so well balanced and has the most beautiful head, super skull to muzzle proportions and the correct arch. Lovely clean bite with impressive large strong teeth. Beautiful dark eyes and correctly set and shaped ears that frame his face perfectly. Lovely reach of neck flowing into correct shoulders. His front and rear angulation match each other perfectly and his chest even at this age has depth and width. Lovely bone all through. On the move he showed true power and moved round the ring like he owned it maintaining that strong level topline with every step. Purposeful powerful movement from one so young. A real credit to owners and breeders and certainly one from the top drawer. I was actually gutted that his age had disqualified him from the challenge as he could certainly give any dog here today a run for their money. Handling and presentation was excellent. I will watch how he matures with interest.

Amblebrook Toblerone

Catalog No: 2
Rating: 3rd
Class: Baby Puppy Dog 3 to 6 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Lovely 17 week old brown boy that had a twinkle in his eye. Not the biggest but he was well balanced with pleasing angles which will improve further with age and nice bone, despite the lack of coat making it appear less so. He has a good head shape and nice eye although a shade log in muzzle at present. He strode out well and held a strong topline all the way. Free easy action, another I liked a lot.

Capebass The Coming Strom

Catalog No: 3
Rating: 2nd
Class: Baby Puppy Dog 3 to 6 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Gorgeous 12 week old black puppy with a few white markings that was certainly a handful. Always difficult to assess babies of this age as they can develop in so many ways but today he impressed me a great deal. Gorgeous balance and the best of bone. Front and rear assemblies that would put many of the aduts to shame and beautiful head with deep dark expressive eyes. Movement was super in such a baby and again with quality like this coming up it bodes well for the future.

Yesallaw Around The World With Paddlepaws

Catalog No: 5
Rating: 2nd
Class: Baby Puppy Bitch 3 to 6 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Good sized black female just under 6 month and I see from the catalogue she is a sister to my baby male. She has good overall balance. Pleasing head with nice dark eye and kind expression. A little rangier than 1 at present but lots to like about her not least her super front assembly. Just needs more time.

Amblebrook Bliss Bomb

Catalog No: 6
Rating: 1st
Class: Baby Puppy Bitch 3 to 6 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Very nice size white and black female that was well balanced with super bone. Very nice markings but a little ticking. She has good overall skull shape and muzzle proportions. Gorgeous dark deep set eyes and super reach of neck. Front and rear construction are impressive and she strode round the ring with power. I liked this puppy a great deal and should have a bright future.

Capebass Storm In A Teacup

Catalog No: 7
Rating: 3rd
Class: Baby Puppy Bitch 3 to 6 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: 12 week old black female, not the biggest but what she lacks in size she makes up for in bone and balance. Loved her front and rear assemblies and such a pleasing head with gorgeous eyes. Happy little character. Just needs time but I have no doubt will make an impression in the future.

Granpaws Easy On The Eye

Catalog No: 9
Rating: 1st
Class: Minor Puppy Dog 6 to 9 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Anwartschaft: Minor Puppy-BOB
Written critics: 7 month old black who is well grown for his age with good head coming but a shade long in muzzle. Correct dark deep set eyes and acceptable neat ears which were hidden by excess coat making them appear larger than they were. Liked his angulation front and rear very much. He is a little narrow in chest at present but time will improve this. Impressive bone all through and effortless movement.

Planhaven Kings Ransom

Catalog No: 10
Rating: 1st
Class: Puppy Dog 6 to 12 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Anwartschaft: Puppy-BOB, Reserve Dog Challenge
Written critics: Nine month old black, stood alone here but he impressed me as soon as he entered the ring. Loved his overall balance. Has the most gorgeous head which is strong but not in any way overdone. Beautiful dark deep set eyes and strong muzzle with a super bite. Correct neck and lovely length of upper arm and layback of shoulder. Lovely balance to his rear which was evident in his movement. He is still as one would expect a little narrow in rib but at 9 months this was a tiny concern. He strides out beautifully with super reach and drive for one so young. This youngster really impressed me and in the challenge his gorgeous head proportion’s and super balance won him the reserve challenge. A real credit to his breeders and another I will watch closely in the future.

Newfashion No Sheet Sherlock

Catalog No: 11
Rating: 1st
Class: Junior Dog 6 to 18 months
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Anwartschaft: Junior-BOS
Written critics: 18month old well grown W&B male that was well grown but didn’t quite fill his frame. Despite his size he lacked a little bone and depth all through. Liked his eye colour and set and one of the few B&W that had correctly pigmented third eyelid. Pleasing outline in profile with nice rear angulation but his front construction didn’t match and as a result his movement lacked that required reach. Nice coat texture and quality and sympathetically handled.

Krystalcove Stands To Reason

Catalog No: 12
Rating: 2nd
Class: Intermediate 18 months to 3 years
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Larger male with pleasing outline. Has a large skull but too rounded behind and flat on top. Ears are set to low which detracts from the expression. Has a lovely reach of neck and good shoulders. His angulations are pleasing and he moved well with nice reach and drive.

Amblebrook That´s Freedom

Catalog No: 13
Rating: 3rd
Class: Intermediate 18 months to 3 years
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Slightly smaller type W&B with a pleasing outline and nice head. Liked the skull proportions and dark deep set eyes. His angulations were pleasing and he moved out with purpose. Nice markings and good coat texture and presentation. Tail set was too high and detracted from his overall profile on the move.

Bouvet Last Edition

Catalog No: 14
Rating: 1st
Class: Intermediate 18 months to 3 years
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Anwartschaft: Intermediate-BOB
Written critics: Medium sized black with nice balanced profile and super bone. Typical head with nice eye colour and placement. Good bite. Pleasing front and read construction which complemented each other beautifully. Chest is deep with good width with strong powerful topline. Moved free and easy with nice drive and reach. Handled and presented well. A really nice prospect for the future.

Class: Australian Bred Dog (over 6 months of age, born in Australia)
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Anwartschaft: Australian Bred-BOB
Written critics: Black male, not the biggest but what he lacks in size he makes up for in type and construction. I loved this boy he has such a pleasing head with correct skull to muzzle proportions and gorgeous dark deep set expressive eye. Nice correct ears that were set well and framed his face beautifully. His angulation front and rear pleased me no end and when he took off on the move his correct balance was evident. Lovely textured coat which was presented beautifully. He was lacking a little hair on his tail that detracted from the overall picture but for me it was not even in the equation as this dog really stood out as quality. The type and balance of this male is needed immensely in this country and he can do good things provided he is matched correctly with the right females. I seriously considered this male in the challenge and it was only the over-all expression of the puppy that finalised my decision. I would be proud to sign a Challenge Certificate for this boy any day.

Written critics: Large W&B male good overall balance with nice angulation front and rear. Pleasing head with nice dark eye however showing unpigmented third eyelid. Pleasing movement but tended to lose his topline at times. Loved his coat quality and markings, presented and handled well to get the best out of him.

Planhaven How High The Moon

Catalog No: 21
Rating: 3rd
Class: Australian Bred Dog (over 6 months of age, born in Australia)
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Well grown black which has substance and type in abundance. He has a very pleasing head with nice eyes, ears and muzzle. Lovely reach of neck and super bone. I liked his angulation front and rear and he had super depth of chest but lacked a little width. Stacked this boy looked everything I was looking for in a newf but on the move he lacked drive and tended to stand a little pinched at the chest. For overall type though he made an impression and can really help the breed here.

Written critics: Impressive sized W&B that in profile looked a picture. Lovely angulation and striking markings made him look very impressive indeed. His overall head proportions are good with lovely dark eyes and nice small neat ears. His bone doesn’t quite match his size and he lacks a little substance and depth all through. He moved well and was effortless but his overall all lack of substance in a frame this big cost him a higher placing.

Newfashion Sure To Be Sure

Catalog No: 26
Rating: 1st
Class: Open Dog (over 6 months)
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Anwartschaft: Open-BOB, Dog Challenge, BOB
Written critics: Medium sized male with large white chest marking. In profile he looked a picture with lovely skull shape and deep strong muzzle. For perfection I would like a little less lip and slightly deeper set eyes. That said his overall quality stood out here today. His front and rear angulation are textbook and his powerfully boned legs propelled him round the ring with ease. He has great reach in front and effortless power behind. He has the strongest of toplines which he held on the move. Groomed well and handled to perfection. He epitomised true Newfie type and it was with ease that I awarded him the Challenge Certifictate and eventual BIS. A real credit to owners and breeders alike. Used correctly and with knowledge he can make a real mark on the breed in the future.

Newfashion Wonders Never Cease

Written critics: Similar size black that was nicely balanced. He didnt have the depth or strength of muzzle of 1st but overall pleasing head type. Lovely reach of neck and super depth and width of chest. I liked his angles and overall balance and on the move he was effortless and carried himself well. Presented to perfection and his coat gleamed.

Written critics: 9 Month old medium sized W&B. She is heavily marked but I liked her very much indeed. Her head is nicely balanced with dark deep set eyes. Lovely reach of neck flowing into a super front with impressive bone. Her front and rear angulation match well and as a result she is so well balanced both on the stack and in movement. I liked this female a lot and will watch how she matures with interest.

Amblebrook A Little More Love

Catalog No: 30

Class: Junior Bitch 6 to 18 month
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Another black female from a Kennel I can see is producing very nice type. I loved her overall balance and when she decided to stand correctly she looks a picture. Pleasing head that lacked a little skull and perhaps a shade long in muzzle but at just over 12 months this didn’t concern me a lot. She has the most gorgeous correct front and rear construction and lovely bone. Liked her neck very much and it flowed into the best of toplines. This youngster really has some super qualities and id love to see her in another 18 month. She lost out to a higher placing in this class as she tended to stand lazy at times losing her topline and also had a tendancy to pace. I did like this girl a great deal and her handler was very attentive to her which is very nice to see.

Capebass from Here To Eternity

Catalog No: 31
Rating: 2nd
Class: Junior Bitch 6 to 18 month
Judge: Stephen Kinsella (IRL)
Written critics: Black female I liked very much for type indeed and infact the 1st and 2nd could easily change places on another day. I liked her head and muzzle proportions and she was one of the most pleasing in head type of the day. Dark deep set eyes and neat well set ears all combine to give that desired newfie expression. Super reach of neck and lovely front and rear construction complete a lovey balanced picture. Loved her coat and presentation today very much a correct type female. She just didn’t seem to have the same reach or drive as 1st and as a result lost out today.

Written critics: 16 Month Brown female that certainly has a mind of her own. I liked her head type very much just needs a little more and slightly deeper set eye. She has the most gorgeous reach of neck and super front and rear construction but has a tendancy to stand lazy and looks short in foreleg but certainly isn’t. She has nice depth and width of chest and super bone for her age. On the move she comes into her own and propels herself round the ring with lovely reach in front and effortless power from behind. Lack of coat makes her tail appear short but on examination its correct and reached the hock with ease. I liked this female very much and have no doubt with correct handling she will take her title with ease. Nice coat colour and texture. I had no hesitation in awarding her the Reserve Challenge and feel she is a worth champion in the making.

Written critics: Another black that impressed in outline and overall balance. Super front and rear construction that were in balance. I liked her head which was femine with a sweet expression. A shade long in muzzle but this should balance out in time. She is heavy boned but a little weak in pastern at present and some road work should help here. She carried herself round the ring with purpose. Nice coat with a large white chest that was well presented and of correct texture. I liked her a lot.

Written critics: Just two years old this white and black really looked a picture here today. Not the biggest but I liked her markings very much and had a lovely profile. Pleasing head with nice depth of muzzle and dark deep set eyes that were showing a little haw but should tighten with age. Super reach of neck flowing into the best of fronts and super strong topline. She has lovely upper arm and shoulder which are married beautifully with her impressive rear. She was one of the few today with well developed muscles and it showed in her free easy movement. This girl will title easy I feel and would like to see her in 12 months.

Has a pleasing head with gorgeous dark eye and soft expression. Very good angulation and moved out well. I could certainly see type emerging from this kennel and liked what is being produced here. With some research and correct matching of pedigrees I think this kennel can help the breed a lot.

Written critics: Medium Sized white and black with good over all markings but lots of ticking. I loved this females head which was strong but correct. Nice dark eyes just a little loose and pleasing ear set made completed a lovely image. She has good angles front and rear but like a few here lacks substance and bone. She moves well with good reach and drive but tends to lose her topline a little however her overall balance won her this class.

Amblebrook Groovy Baby

Catalog No: 46

Written critics: Smaller black female with a very pleasing head. Liked her skull to muzzle proportions and dark deep set eyes. Good overall balance with pleasing shoulder and rear angulation. She has good depth of chest but a little narrow. Bone matched her size and overall was nicely balanced. Moved out well if a shade narrow in front.

Written critics: Much larger black female that looked very nice in profile with an acceptable head however for better balance id like slightly tighter eye, a little less length of muzzle and more skull for that correct newfie expression. Her body is very nicely balanced with pleasing front and rear angulation. Chest has good depth but lacks a little width. Movement was good going away and in profile but just a shade narrow coming. Presented beautifully with lovely coat condition and texture.

Written critics: Taller black female with a prettier more balanced head and nice reach of neck. Overall profile pleasing and loved her front assembly but her read doesn’t quite match. Needs to drop in stifle for balance. Lovely strong topline held well on the move but didn’t quite have the drive behind to balance her front. Handled and presented very well.

Written critics: Slightly smaller black female that was a little plainer in head than 1. Would prefer a slightly shorter muzzle but it had good depth. Good eye shape but a little lite. Overall liked her balance and her front was very nicely angulated with deep broad chest and super topline. Lacking a little angulation in rear but movement was purposeful with nice reach in front and acceptable drive behind.

Written critics: Large upstanding black female that Looks very impressive in profile. Liked her head proportions and dark deep set eyes. Has super reach of neck flowing into a strong powerful topline. Chest has depth and width with plenty of room for heart and lung circulation. I would prefer a little more angulation to the front as it didn’t quite match her rear but overall she had presence and nice type. On the move she had great drive but was a little unsure of herself however in the challenge with her young handler she came into her own and really strode out and flowed round the ring. I forgave her lack of angulation in the front for her overall balance and type. She stood out here today and deserved her Challenge Certificate and BOS.
